OPERATION BLOOM PLANT SWAP:
Please come to the
Winooski Operation Bloom Plant & Seed Swap on Saturday,
May 12, 2012 from 10 am-12:00 noon at Richards Park (corner of
Lafountain & Dion). This is the 7th anniversary of this free neighborhood event
to which folks bring extra flower or vegetable plants from their gardens or
extra seedlings they've grown, to donate to others to help them start their own
gardens or add to their existing ones. If you don't have a garden and are
concerned that you don't have anything to contribute, please don't worry. You
may bring some non-perishable food items to donate to the Methodist Church food
shelf or make a donation to Winooski Operation Bloom, but neither is required.
Just stop by and bring home a little color for your yard or some vegetable
plants to help feed your family. Please email or call Eileen at 655-1741 with
questions or to volunteer. Thank you! (PS the event is rain or shine) |

OPERATION BLOOM 2012:
Thanks to our generous sponsors, it’s the
16th year for Operation Bloom! We’re that guerrilla volunteer garden
group that plants flowers and greenery around the city. Our mission is to make
natural flora and fauna a part of our urban landscape. But flower power takes
collective energy! If you like getting your hands into the earth and would like
to meet fellow gardeners, please join us in the beautification of Winooski.
