Welcome to the City of Winooski Vermont's volunteer fire department web site. Here we will strive to present an in depth view of our staff, facilities, training, safety and all the other aspects that go into fighting fires and providing a safe environment in which to live.

What is a volunteer fire department? A volunteer fire department is a collection of men and women who are dedicated to protecting it's citizens from fires and various other hazards. Often times this dedication comes with the risk of great harm to our fire fighters. These men and women take time from their own personal lives to train and become proficient in the methods and equipment that will provide the citizens of Winooski with a safer place to reside!

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank any and all employers who support our volunteers and provide the necessary time for them to respond to these events. Without their ongoing support it would be impossible to maintain a volunteer organization such as this.
